Anxiety in any capacity can make the world feel terrifying. You may find yourself thinking, "Why can I not just enjoy myself and calm down?" It is so much easier said than done. 

Anxiety drives us to always be waiting for something horrible to happen. It is the part of ourselves that consistently reminds us of all of the danger that exists, and makes us think of everything that could possibly go wrong. It can feel all consuming and make enjoyable events feel impossible. As someone who has experienced it myself and has now worked with it clinically for many years, I am here to help you understand your anxiety and learn to work with it. 

Anxiety tries to keep us safe but ends up working overtime. In therapy we can get to know it and find ways to cope, so you no longer have to feel like you are being controlled by it. 

Perfectionism is often coupled with anxiety. If you feel like whatever you do is never good enough, or you find yourself procrastinating out of fear of messing up, I hear you.
